As a proud extension of the Jr. Prep Sports lineage originating from Hawaii, Jr. Prep Sports California embodies an unwavering dedication to excellence and family orientation. This commitment has been instrumental in our organization's success, providing high school athletes with opportunities to thrive both on and off the field.

Founded by the leadership of Coach Sam Faleafine, Jr. Prep Sports California has been at the forefront of athletic development for 10 years, developing champions and shaping futures with our commitment and passion.

We provide exceptional value with the most affordable training coupled with the expertise of our seasoned coaching staff and leadership. Led by our new Jr. Prep Sports California president, Joshua Faleafine, with over 13 years of coaching experience and more than two decades of football knowledge, and supported by our vice president, Dusty Mitchell, a former player and coach at UCLA, Jr. Prep Sports California is primed to elevate any athlete's skill set to new heights.

Meet the Team


  • President

    As a native of the East Bay, Josh has been deeply rooted in its communities throughout his life. With over 13 years of experience coaching football, he brings a wealth of leadership and teamwork skills to every endeavor.

    Currently serving in law enforcement, Josh has honed his ability to navigate complex situations with clarity and composure. Josh's dedication to service extends beyond his profession and into his coaching career, where he has proudly contributed to the development of young athletes across the East Bay. Josh started his coaching career at Concord High School in 2012 and finished with CHS in 2016. Josh began serving as a JPS coach in 2016, as a defensive line coach. Through JPS he was able to establish relationships with student-athletes in many schools. During the pandemic Josh joined the Clayton Valley Charter High School coaching staff where he has served as a defensive line coach for 4 seasons.

    With two decades of football experience under his belt, Josh looks forward to continuing his passion for developing young athletes and providing them with additional opportunities to take their athletic and academic careers to the next level.


  • Vice President

    Born and raised in the East Bay, Dusty began his athletic journey at Clayton Valley Charter High School, where he played Defensive-End and Full-Back.

    Continuing his athletic and academic career, Dusty ventured to UCLA, where he played Full-Back under Chip Kelly. Alongside his football career, he took leadership roles as the UCLA Track & Field manager and the UCLA Men's Basketball Manager, embodying a commitment to teamwork and organization.

    Transitioning from player to mentor, Dusty took a coaching role as the UCLA assistant Outside Linebackers and Defensive Line coach. This experience allowed him to refine his leadership skills while gaining invaluable football knowledge. Today, as a Commercial Real Estate Agent, Dusty leverages the same drive and determination that fueled his athletic and coaching endeavors.

    Dusty is excited and determined in his commitment to giving back to his community through the development of young athletes, providing them with top-tier coaching and mentorship. He is dedicated to offering them an unparalleled opportunity to elevate both their athletic and academic skills, empowering them to reach new heights in their pursuits.
